I recently read this article and it makes me think more and more about the question of global warming and greenhousen gasses.

I agree that, unfortunately the "global warming" issue is taking on religious fervor. There certainly is much less fact and much more of the hypothetical in the "green movement". I have been saying and will continue to state that this is the wrong issue of importance. The issue which is of much greater concern and is factual, is that we live in an industrialized society which sustains itself through the burning of fossil fuels. This fuel system is limited, is expiring, is becoming more expensive to recover and is in imminent (within our lifetimes) of expiring. These are the facts and they, unlike the global warming hypotheses, are indisputable.
Were Al Gore, Sheryl Crow and Laurie David making a case for developing sources of renewable energy rather than artificially reducing their carbon footprint via the acquisition of "Carbon Credits", then they would be expending their energy to help mankind rather than being alarmists who spend much more time trying to inspire a population which will not be able to make a difference until we have passed the "point of irreversibility" projected by Al Gore in "The Inconvenient Truth".
Interestingly, "The Inconvenient Truth" is a name, by the way which is not only untrue, but also underlies the non scientific, religious fervor necessary for Al Gore and laurie David to make their case.
Just my thought for the day. Read the article, it is very thought provoking and I truly enjoyed it.
